  Tonight me and my family went to Belluci's in Manuka ACT to celebrate my son's 13th birthday. I saved up to take my family out on this very special occasion and chose Belluci's as my son likes Italian food. The first thing our party noticed was the loud dance music that drowned out talking and the very high prices... but we were determined to celebrate and have a good night. One of our party ordered seafood... which had gone rancid and so we were not charged for the meal. I ordered a 'veal cutlet' dish as did some of my family members. We learned that by 'veal cutlet' Belluci's means a thin piece of grisly, grey veal crumbed with a bone sticking out. It was a schnitzel that was poorly made. The taste was so bland I offered it in surprise to those around me... all we could taste were unseasoned breadcrumbs. The 'veal cutlet' came with a tomato salad which was a diced mushy tomato served with little bits of onion, the accompanying chips were soft and unseasoned. The entire meal was so dry and tasteless it was agreed that the most flavoursome thing we got with this $36 meal... was the little bits of onion. My son's favourite food is carbonara, so he ordered that for $28 and was very excited. He got a tiny portion of pasta covered in heaps of diced bacon with a little bit of sauce that tasted like it was melted butter with a touch of cream. No one ate much, we left out of pocket, hungry and quickly. Manuka has a lot of good restaurants, skip this overrated rip-off and have a nice time somewhere else. I cannot believe I saved up for a special birthday treat and all we got was butter, breadcrumbs and dance music. Not worth a cent.

  A nice place for dinner, we've been a few times. On a saturday night it's quite lively and the pasta is consistently good. For a three course meal and a shared bottle of wine it'll cost about $150 for two.
